Semisweet is the alt-rock solo project of Cailey Norris.

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Cailey started writing songs as a kid, and posted some country stuff on YouTube in high school. This led her to Nashville and Belmont University, where she studied songwriting and made 1 friend.

After college, she started putting out music under her own name — first an EP in 2020, then a full album in 2023 that she co-produced. It was a mix of indie rock and singer-songwriter stuff while she experimented and refined her sound.

Jump to 2025. The sound was found and Semisweet was born. On the new self-titled EP produced by Austin Luther,  crunchy guitars and unfiltered lyrics meet sugary hooks and crisp vocals. It’s a nod to 90s grunge, but in the age of situationships...
